A legal obligation as a public map.
Romanian municipalities are required to keep a registry of their green spaces. Many keep it in spreadsheets or CAD files, and some don't keep one at all. registruverde.ro puts every park, tree and bench on a public map, with its condition, its history and the work done on it, updated by the people who look after them.
The app is custom-built on a Laravel and Filament back end, with enough custom interface on top that it no longer looks like a Filament panel. The public map works in the browser on desktop and mobile without an account, and uses Stereo 70, the coordinate system Romanian cadastral data is already in.
Municipal staff get an admin dashboard for the inventory, interventions and citizen reports. Existing plans can be imported as DWG, DXF, shapefile or GeoJSON. Each tree has one of three statuses (healthy, needs attention, danger). That is the information a city needs to act on, and the record it needs if a tree ever causes damage.
App branding & UI
We designed the app's brand and interface alongside the build. The identity is calm and civic, so a city hall can trust it and a resident can use it to report a leaning tree without instructions. Data can be hosted in EU data centres or on the municipality's own servers, and exports in open formats.
